Accounting is a type of profession where a person performs different kinds of accounting functions in the business organizations like the preparation and analysis of financial statements, performing the audit operations and others (Hoyle, Schaefer and Doupnik 2015). Thus, it can be said that the accountants are majorly responsible for all the accounting related works in the companies. On the other hand, it needs to be mentioned that risk and return are two of the major factors in the accounting activities of the companies. Risks refer to the particular chance that an investor takes to gain a certain amount of return (Baron et al. 2016). In order to take high return, an investor has to take high risks and vice versa. Thus, it can be observed that there is a positive relation between the risk and return. In this case, I would like to mention that I am planning to be an accountant in the future. The above disc ussion denotes the fact that risk and return are important factors in the profession of accounting. The reason is that the accountants have the responsibility to take effective measures and to provide risk and return related information for the effective management of organizational risks and returns (Penman and Zhu 2014). Hence, it can be said that there are some major reasons behind learning about the concepts of risk and return. All these major issues are discusses below. As per the earlier discussion, it can be seen that risk and return are two of the major factors in accounting. In order to establish the connection among risk, return and accounting, the concept of scenario analysis needs to be analyzed. The concept of scenario analysis involves the development of descriptive models regarding the risk and return of the companies. Thus, it can be said that the concept of scenario analysis includes the concepts of risk and return of the business organizations (Kaplan and Mikes 2012). In the process of scenario analysis of risk and return, the organizational accountants play important role. In the process of managing the risk and return of the companies, the accountants play important role by providing high-quality information along with explicit understanding about the risk and return of the company. At the time of doing the jobs, organizational accountants have the access over important accounting as well as financial information. At the time of manag ing the risks and returns of the companies, this accounting and financial information helps in the prediction of future trends (Ayyub 2014). It needs to be mentioned that the effective management of risk and return helps in the optimal management of resources of the company. Hence, the above discussion shows that the process of risk and return management requires important accounting information and the accountants are the one who provide this accounting information. From this, I have come to know the fact that in order to assist in the risk and return management, it is needed for me to study the details about risk and return. In this regard, it needs to be mentioned that management of risk and return has connection with the internal control of the organizations. The reason is that effective internal control of the companies help to reduce the financial risk and helps to increase the amount of various financial returns (Vijayakumar and Nagaraja 2012). In this case, it needs to be mentioned that organizational accountants are responsible for the implementation of effective internal control of the companies. On a more precise note, it has been seen that lead accounting managers and accounting professionals play a vital part to design, plan, implement, executive and monitor the risk management activities and programs of the companies. Thus, accounting managers and professionals play important part in the management of risk and return of the companies. In addition, in the business organizations, it has been seen that it is the responsibility of the organizational accountants to arrange and conduct necessary tr aining programs for the employees in order to become familiar with various organizational risk factors in the companies (Skaife, Veenman and Wangerin 2013). On the other hand, it is responsibility of the lead accountants of the companies to take into consideration the major risk factors for the decision-making process. In this particular way, the accountants of the companies play an important part in the strategic management of the companies (Munsif, Raghunandan and Rama 2012). Thus, it can be seen that in order to take part in the above-mentioned organizational activities, the accounting professionals of the companies need to have sufficient knowledge about concepts of risk and return. From the above discussion, I have come to know that there is a crucial connection between risks and return management and accounting profession. The above discussion denotes the fact that the organizational accounts provide the risk and return management team with important and high-quality accounting and financial information so that they can be used for minimizing the risks. It needs to be mentioned that without the presence of enough knowledge about risk and return, the accountant will not be able to provide specific accounting information to them. Another major factor that can be seen from the above discussion that the accountants play an important part in the internal control of the companies and internal control helps to manage risks and returns. For this purpose also, without the knowledge of risk and return, the accountants will not be able to contribute towards the development of internal control of the companies. Active participation in debates should also be encouraged and opinions of all stakeholders should be noted and taken into account. Yevtushenko makes himself an Israelite slave of Egypt and a martyr who died for the sake of his religion. In lines 7-8, he claims that he still bars the marks of the persecution of the past. There is still terrible persecution of the Jews in present times because of their religion. These lines serve as the transition from the Biblical and ancient examples he gives to the allusions of more recent acts of hatred. The lines also allude to the fact that these Russian Jews who were murdered at Babi Yar were martyrs as well. The next ezza reminds us of another event in Jewish history where a Jew was persecuted solely because of his religious beliefs. The poet refers to the "pettiness" (line 11) of anti-Semitism as the cause of Dreyfus' imprisonment. Anti-Semitism is his "betrayer" (line 12) when he is framed, and anti-Semitism is his "judge" (line 12) when he is wrongly found guilty. Lines 13-14 claim that even the fine and supposedly civilized women of society shun Dreyfus because he is a Jew and fear him like they would fear an animal. In ezza III, Yevtushenko brings himself to the midst of the pogroms of Bielostok. He gives the readers the image of a young boy on the floor being beaten and bleeding while he witnesses others beat his mother. In line 24, he gives the reader the rationale of the Russians who are inflicting such atrocities on the Jews. "'Murder the Jews! Save Russia!'" They view the Jews as the curse of Russia; a Jewish plague that must end in order to save their country from evil. In a way they think that they are acting in patriotism. The poet transports us to Anne Frank's attic in the fourth ezza. He describes to the reader the innocent love that has blossomed between Anne and Paul. Her love of the world and life and spring has been denied her (line 30). Yet, she manages to find comfort for her loss in the embrace of her beloved. In line 33, Yevtushenko shows the reader Anne's denial of what is going on around her. She tries to drown out the noise of the Nazis coming to get her. When her precious spring comes, so do the war and the Nazis to take her to her death. Stanza V brings us back to the ravine of Babi Yar. In line 40, the poet chooses to personify the trees. They "stare down" on him in judgement as G-d would. Line 41 is oxymoronic. There is a silent mourning for the martyred Jews by the air; a force in nature. The air around Babi Yar howls for the massacre it has witnessed. The poet himself claims to be "an endless soundless howl/ over the buried" (lines 43-44). The Forces And Kinematics Involved In Self Propelling A Wheelchair - Essay Example The study took place at the Stanmore Clinical Research Facility (SCRF) at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), Stanmore. All participants gave informed consent to participate in the study. (Refer to Appendix __ ). The generation of forces were gathered through the front castors of the wheelchair and through the push rim. The forces generated are then recorded and analysed to investigate the hypothesis stated. The wheelchair users P:C Ratio was then calculated to establish whether the users exceeded their capacity when performing such tasks and whether Rear Axle Position (RAP) was found to influence this. As there are no existing methods for testing dynamic wheelchair stability of a manual wheelchair, an instrument was developed. Consequently, a force sensitive castor was designed to look at this pattern in more detail. The chosen model was a 17" Quickie GPV, rigid frame lightweight wheelchair. The model was chosen as the most adaptable size for most test participants and was then configured to suit each individual's needs. The wheelchair weighs 18kg with nearly 7kg of added weight due to an attached equipment. The wheelchair is fitted with 25" solid tyres to accommodate the Smart Wheel technology and 5" solid castors. Only one wheelchair could be used as the instrumentation was not interchangeable between wheelchairs. 1.3.3 Development of the Castor Force Transducer An earlier work at ACDS (spell out acronym) (WOWSUP, 2005) using a wheelchair Ergometer showed that there was a substantial weight shift between castors and rear wheels during the propulsion cycle, which subsequently increased with the pushing resistance. The Ergomenter used force plates beneath the front castors during propulsion. The study explored what happened to the Ergometer when users propelled their wheelchairs to perform functional activities. A force sensor was integrated into the castor stem of the wheelchair to examine weight shift during functional mobility. Because after recapitalization, it will have negative impacts on EPS, debt rating, share value and it has a slightly positive impact on WACC and voting control. The results of impact on EPS analysis shows that EPS will drop from $ 1. 61 to 0. 46 and, the debt/ assets ratio will be 169% which will increase the company’s risks. From a debt rating aspect, after borrowing $ 3 billion dollars, the debt rating of the company will decline from AA/A to BB/B which means that the company will have a higher interest rate, more interest expense and a lower credit rating in the future. This is not good for the company’s future development. From a long term prospective, I believe it’s important that the company be careful in determining whether they should pursue a dividend or stock repurchase strategy. If the company chooses to use the $ 3 billion to pay dividends now, it might increase the investor’s satisfaction in the short run but once the dividend has been paid, the investor will expect the same amount of dividend in the future and a lower dividend might disappoint investors and that might affect the company’s stock price in the future. The stock repurchase is temporary as well, so after the repurchase the ending stock price might drop and it may hurt a potential new investor who made a purchase during the repurchase period. All things considered as long as Wrigley keeps an eye on their long term goals and continues to look at the big picture whilst making good solid financial choices for their company they should be most successful.

Have you ever wished you could change, for even one day, and be the person that others wanted you to be? Have you ever actually made that change, either by choice or by force? Do you think you’re normal? Maybe you’ve lived the most normal life you could imagine. Or maybe not. Maybe you’re life is so abnormal and outrageous that you don’t wish to be normal. Have you ever questioned your sanity? Introduction Insanity appears in various forms and we all know how to mentally picture it. We can create clear images of "insane" individuals in our heads and, very often, feel comfortable with those images. Maybe we picture the serial killer on television, the old woman next door who refuses to leave her house, the people in rubber rooms, or even ourselves. Despite whom we picture, however, we, as members of this society, have a tendency to label those who act differently from us "crazy" or "insane." Society attempts to classify the "sane" and "insane" based on how "normal" or "abnormal" they are. Unfortunately, this forces us into a binary view of individuals that causes many of those individuals to lose their senses of uniqueness and freedom. This also causes others to discriminate based on their differences. What we fail to realize is that the line we establish between "sane" and "insane" is unclear and undeterminable and, therefore, gives us no grounds for bias. For that reason, we must abandon it entirely because the categories it forms inhibit some from living their ideal ways of life. We need to, essentially, stop classifying abn... ...ation. For example, there are Gay and Lesbian Pride groups, Fat Pride groups, the Deaf Community, and so forth, but because the line society draws for insanity is so ambiguous, and clear categories are indeterminable, it is impossible to form an "Insane Pride" group, for instance. The only current option for these people, therefore, is to stay within the binary. We need to find a way to resist this need to conform because, in reality, we all in some way fit into the category of the insane to different degrees. Hence, we need to establish ourselves as individuals with needs. We must begin to look at what we have come to call "insanity" in a new way and, in effect, exclude the word from our vocabulary. If we can, therefore, find some way to eliminate the stigma and reaffirm the spectrum, we will be able to treat others and ourselves affectively and appropriately.

Workers react to change differently and often feel threatened by it. Reaction to workplace transformations usually manifests itself in one of three ways. There is proactive reaction that sees change as an opportunity to try new and improved things. Reactive workers resist change and try to keep things as they were. Inactive employees take the neutral position and straddle the fence watching the struggle between other employees. Older workers within the company tend to resist change because they want to do things the old way. Employees may feel a loss of identity. They may feel a loss of control. Workers also experience a loss of meaning, belonging, and even a loss of their future. Trying to make the changes seem positive does not erase the uncertainty, rumors, or the ambiguity (Jones, 2011). Managers should strategize on the best way to enforce any changes at Riordan Manufacturing. There should be some expectation of resistance in regard to any change. There should be time restraints and deadlines put into place. The changing process may affect deadlines until everyone is on task with the operational changes and new policies. Managers must plan ahead for any resistance at Riordan. Forming task teams that oversee each department affected by the changes over the next 12 months is one strategy that can prove useful. New goals and expectations as a result of the changes should be outlined and followed. There should be effective communication skills with floor managers and employees (Gul & Sahin, 2011). The process can run smoother if the employees at Riordan feel motivated, and teamwork encouraged. There will be employee evaluations over the next year to monitor the success or failure of the changes. New system changes, problems, and success will be determined weekly in a detailed report. The reports from the task team and the floor managers will determine the feasibility of the changes. Employees will be required to take assessments to ensure that they fully understand the new operations. New records will be maintained,  updated, and signed by each employee.
